Before you download

Is it really free?
Yes. Both packs, completely free, no card, no trial. I teach Chinese for a living and these are the materials I actually start every student with. My email list is how I send out new lessons — that's the whole arrangement.
Which pack should I start with?
If you want to speak, start with Pack 1 (100 sentences) — you're learning whole things you can say out loud. If you want to read, start with Pack 2 (550 words) — the pictures make characters stick. Most people do Pack 1 first, then Pack 2.
I'm a complete beginner. Is this too much?
No. Pack 1 starts at 「你好」 and each chapter is one situation, ten sentences a day. Pack 2 is one character per page, with a picture for every word. You need to know zero Chinese beforehand — but you do need to be willing to say it out loud.
How long does each one take?
About 10 minutes a day. Pack 1: ten days. Pack 2: one character a day, roughly 110 days. Look, read the pinyin, say it out loud three times, then write one sentence of your own with it.
Can I use this with my students?
Yes — for personal study and for classroom use, no restriction. If you want to redistribute it commercially as part of a paid product, please get in touch first.
